The Work of the Lord in Every Detail of Our Lives

Do you truly trust the Lord?

Do you completely submit to ALL of the events that  the Lord brings into your everyday life?
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."    - Proverbs 3:5-7
If we will submit ourselves to the Word, seeking wisdom and understanding, as well as gaining knowledge... the Lord will faithfully direct every step that we take on the path.
"A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps."     - Proverbs 16:9
What situations has the Lord put you in? ...what circumstances?

Are you worried about them? Do they cause you much anxiety?

There is no need for a child of God to be afraid of the future or of things out of their control for...
" Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."    - James 1:17-18
Your Father in heaven has a vested interest in your well being in this world and He is the giver of all GOOD and PERFECT gifts. He sent His only Son to die on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of His elected children, chosen before the foundation of the world. He will lose none of the children that the Father has given Him (John 6:39)
"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed."   - James 1:13-14
Any temptations and/or trials that we face in this life are caused of our own lusts and conceit... We cause ourselves trouble all of the time by listening to the firey darts of the wicked, resulting because of a lack of faith and trust in the Lord (Ephesians 6:16). Put on the Armor! Protect yourself from vanity and evil... the Lord has given you a way to escape!
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."   - 1 Corinthians 10:13
In closing, receive the words of our Brother James...
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering."   - James 1:2-6

... Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Now, to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Welcome to the "Follow After Righteousness" Blog!

Hello and welcome, to my new blog! I have never blogged before so please bear with me.

I intend to glorify the Lord in all of my postings, posting various things from my everyday life to very spiritual topics.

My idea for a blog name came from 1 Timothy 6:11-16:

"11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confessiond; 14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen."

I pray that the Lord will be glorified in my efforts as a young man and that this blog will be beneficial to others who may happen to stumble upon it.

A Servant of the Lord
